Victim of Dreams - A video by Lenore Herb

Video by Vancouver activist and artist Lenore Herb that features the drawings of Bill Scherk, music of Superczar and words and voice of Jeremy Gluck. Track featured on the album of the same name by Jeremy Gluck.

The Victim of Dreams by Jeremy Gluck.

The closer reality draws
Dreams draw closer still
From metal to the grinder
The sparks fly
Cold and hard the realisation
While small lights swing and die
I have seen my brother in his asylum
His blood also mine

I have seen the future
And its number is one
I have seen my father in his dying
And am still his son

Demanding answers from God
I am handed His design
I will be alone
No rescue will find me
Salvation is a fiction
Redemption never was
What is real remains so
What is not fiery dust.

Dirty Water, Art, Singles, Cult Heroes...the works, dammit!

Jeremy checking in. There's so much going on now that I need to number it. Cripes!

1. OK. The single: It is almost done, being recorded at local awesome analog studio Abertawe Sound just over by Kay's the Newsagent. You know where I mean! It is sounding dense, fierce and fine. Three songs, three sides of the ever-unchanging music machine that is The Yohawks. ETA mid-Feb. and thence to a release, possibly on Dirty Water's house label. Can now say that the artwork gracing the blighter will be by leading French illustrator (and big Barracudas fan) J.P. Chabot, who is gearing up to knock out some ideas. Amazing, and his work will show you why, it, uh, rocks!

2. The Cult Hook-up: Many years ago I recorded in Paris with an all-cult-star line-up including NewYorkers, Band of Outsiders. Their head honcho Marc Jeffrey and I became friends and this year we will be reunited to record and - for the 1st time - write together. Two original songs will becommitted to tape (analog studio, remember? for eventual release. Marc will also play with The Yohawks in Swansea and London.

3. The track leftover from "Victim of Dreams", "Buried Not Dead", has found a good home on the next 'What's Cookin'' compilation due in April and feat. yours truly with Italy's Indianpalms.

4. Future developments will include the recording and release of a "Dream Baby Dream" theme EP paying homage to the Suicide classic, with our version(s) enjoying the tutelage of Marty Thau, legendary manager and producer of early Suicide and the New York Dolls.

5. The digital edition of my 1st novel, "Necrotrivia vs Skull", is now on sale @ Lulu.com.

6. Last but not least, the remix madness at Tapegerm goes on as my electronic alter ego Datawhore is heading for a double digital album feat. superb remixers like Mick Harvey, Lenore Herb, Michael Cosma and many more. And my first homemade loop pack,"Convoid", will be available shortly and features 15 dissonant sounds for fun and...

Zat enuff for ya?
